Attorney Lisa Eddy

Attorney Lisa M. Eddy has experience working on an extensive variety of cases with positive results. Family law makes up a large portion of Lisa’s caseload and she is always ready to assist a client with a divorce, child custody issue or a custody hearing.

Along with her family court case load, Lisa represents clients in car accidents, product liability cases, assaults, breach of contract issues, personal injury claims and incidents of general negligence.

Lisa attended Roger Williams University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and in the top ten percent of her class. While at Roger Williams, Lisa worked in a variety of legal areas. She volunteered at the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights where she worked on civil rights and liberties projects which covered topics such as fair housing and employment. She also spent two years at a prestigious Maritime Law firm in New York City, where she worked on maritime cases, contracts issues, workers compensation contests, environmental issues and workplace safety cases. Lisa has also worked at a medical malpractice and personal injury law office in Providence, Rhode Island where she assisted in obtaining fair compensation for injured clients. During her time at Roger Williams, Lisa was actively involved with the Maritime and Environmental Law Student Societies.

Outside The Law Office

Lisa gives back to the community by volunteering as the Lawyer of the Day in Massachusetts, a program designed to assist those who are economically unable to obtain legal assistance. She also takes pro bono cases for the South Coastal Counties Legal Services program working for victims of domestic violence, and assists with family cases taken on by the Volunteer Lawyer Program of the Rhode Island Bar Association. She is also a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice, the Massachusetts Association of Trial Attorneys and a member of the House of Delegates for the Rhode Island Bar Association.

In addition to her law degree, Lisa holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation and Biology from the University of Rhode Island. While at the URI, Lisa was a member of many school organizations including the University marching and pep bands.
